The ICC ODI World Cup has started today. The first match of the tournament is being played between defending champion England and runner-up New Zealand. In the match, New Zealand won the toss and invited England to bat first.
Joe Root became the first batsman in this worldcup to score a half-century. In this innings of 58 balls, he hit two fours and one six.
Jonny Bairstow played a brilliant inning of 33 runs for England. England's star all-rounder Ben Stokes could not get a place in the playing eleven. Whereas New Zealand entered the field without Kane Williamson.
