A funny incident happened during the exciting third T20 match between New Zealand and Pakistan in Dunedin. Pakistan batsman Mohammad Rizwan tried to take a quick single but as he ran towards the opposite end, his bat slipped from his grip. Rizwan took the help of his gloves to complete the run without any fear.

Unfortunately, Rizwan's efforts went in vain. The rules dictate that crossing the crease with the gloves is not acceptable, resulting in the umpire having to signal a short run. The ridiculous incident happened in the sixth over of Pakistan's innings, when they were bravely chasing the tough target of 225 runs.

Rizwan has already contributed a commendable 24 runs and formed a vital partnership with Babar Azam. With their combined efforts the goal appeared within reach. However, after Rizwan's dismissal, Pakistan's batting lineup collapsed, leaving Babar to battle it out alone against the opposition.

Earlier, Finn Allen had equaled the world record set by Afghanistan's Hazratullah Zazai by hitting 16 sixes in a T20 International innings. This outstanding performance also gave him the highest score by a New Zealand player in T20 Internationals, surpassing Brendon McCullum's 123 against Bangladesh in 2012.

Hazratullah initially set the record for most sixes by scoring an impressive 162 off 62 balls against Ireland in 2019. However, Finn Allen's remarkable performance has now brought him equal to this record-breaking feat. In particular, two of Allen's sixes were hit with such force that they traveled more than 100 meters, one of which even bounced over the crossbar and the upper part of the adjacent rugby field at the University Oval.
