Now Virat Kohli will also play Ranji Trophy, he will make a comeback with this match after 13 years!

Team India's star batsman Virat Kohli is also finally ready to make a comeback in the Ranji Trophy. In the recent policy of BCCI, senior players were also instructed to return after playing domestic cricket, after which everyone was waiting to know whether Virat will play for Delhi or not. Virat had withdrawn his name from the match to be held on January 23 due to neck pain, but now a report is claiming that Virat Kohli will be available for the match to be held from January 30.
A report claims that Virat Kohli has told the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) that he will play the match to be held from January 30. This will be Delhi's last match in the group stage of Ranji Trophy, which will be against Railways. Before this match, Delhi has to play against Saurashtra from January 23. Kohli was included in Delhi's squad for both these matches, but the star batsman withdrew from the first match due to neck pain, after which the DDCA selectors removed Kohli's name from the updated squad.
If Kohli comes to play this match, then he will return to Ranji Trophy after 13 years. Kohli last played Ranji Trophy match for Delhi in 2012. However, there is still doubt about this because this match will be played from 30 January to 2 February and then the ODI series is to be played from 6 February, in which Kohli is a part of Team India. In such a situation, will he take a break from the first ODI, this is a question that remains.
Kohli's decision has come at a time when, after the BCCI's strictness, all the senior and new players of Team India are playing in the Ranji Trophy match for their respective teams. Rishabh Pant, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill had already declared themselves available for the round starting January 23. After this, Team India captain Rohit Sharma also announced his return to the Mumbai team and he has also got a place in the squad for the next match. Apart from these, star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and fast bowler Mohammad Siraj can also be seen playing.
For the last few days, there has been a continuous discussion in Indian cricket whether senior players should also play in domestic tournaments, especially Ranji Trophy. After the defeat in the Test series against New Zealand and Australia and the poor performance of the senior batsmen in it, head coach Gautam Gambhir had emphasized on this and then BCCI also made it mandatory for all the players.
