This will be Delhi's last match in the group stage of Ranji Trophy, which will be against Railways. Before this match, Delhi has to play against Saurashtra from January 23. Kohli was included in Delhi's squad for both these matches, but the star batsman withdrew from the first match due to neck pain, after which the DDCA selectors removed Kohli's name from the updated squad.

If Kohli comes to play this match, then he will return to Ranji Trophy after 13 years. Kohli last played Ranji Trophy match for Delhi in 2012. However, there is still doubt about this because this match will be played from 30 January to 2 February and then the ODI series is to be played from 6 February, in which Kohli is a part of Team India.
