Sri Lankan opening batsman Pathum Nissanka has now joined the list of legends who have scored a double century in ODI wickets. He registered a big record in his name by scoring an unbeaten double century of 210 runs in 139 balls in the ODI match against Afghanistan.

He broke the record of former legend Sanath Jayasuriya by scoring a double century in Pallekele. He has become the cricketer who has played the biggest innings in ODI cricket for Sri Lanka. Earlier, former Sri Lankan captain Sanath Jayasuriya had played an innings of 189 runs against India 24 years ago.

Sri Lankan opener Pathum Nissanka hit 20 fours and 8 sixes in his double century innings. He has left behind many legends including Sachin Tendulkar in terms of playing the biggest innings in ODI cricket. Sachin had played an inning of 200 runs in ODI. Rohit Sharma played the biggest innings of 264 runs in 2014.
