Now every Indian player will get 'security' like Virat-Rohit, BCCI took a revolutionary decision
Team India surprised everyone by defeating Bangladesh in the Kanpur Test in just 2 days. In this way, Team India has continued its dominance at home for the last 12 years. Every player of Team India contributed to this victory, be it batting or bowling or fielding. The ability of the players is there but their fitness has also contributed a lot in this. BCCI has paid a lot of attention to keeping Team India so fit and has given them all kinds of facilities. One such special facility will now be available to every professional cricketer of India, which will be like a protective shield for them and the reason for this is a revolutionary decision of BCCI.
Domestic cricketers will also get AMS
Virat Kohli's fitness is an inspiration not only in India but also in world cricket. Captain Rohit Sharma may not have a physique like Virat but he is equally fit and this is reflected in his batting and fielding. Similarly, Jasprit Bumrah is also looking extremely fit after recovering from a dangerous back injury. All the players including Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammad Siraj also do not take any laxity on the fitness front and the reason for this is BCCI's athlete monitoring system, which is now going to reach domestic cricketers as well.
After Team India's victory in the Kanpur Test, the news of this revolutionary step of BCCI has come to the fore. According to the PTI report, the Indian Board Secretary Jay Shah has written a letter to all the state cricket associations and said that the players participating in domestic cricket will also be given AMS support, in which the fitness of every player is tracked through an app. The biggest thing is that the BCCI has said that the board itself will bear the entire cost of this facility for every domestic cricketer. That is, the state associations do not need to spend anything on this.
Provides information about injury-rehab of players
Till now, this facility has been available only to players included in BCCI's central contract including Rohit, Virat, Gill, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya. Apart from these, some such players are also included in it, whom BCCI includes in special camps in its National Cricket Academy. Through this system, real time alert of players' injury, rehabilitation, fitness and match readiness reaches the players, coaching staff, physio-trainer.
This manages the players' workload and fitness well and helps them perform well on the field. Last week, BCCI inaugurated its new Center of Excellence just a few kilometers away from Bengaluru. Here the board has also set up a very modern medicine and sports science unit which will contact the state associations in this matter and provide them this facility. With this, in the coming time, domestic cricketers will not only enter the field with better fitness, but will also be equally prepared when they get selected in Team India.
