In the third season of the league, it will face the challenge of Mumbai Indians Cape Town, which was at the bottom of the points table last season. The second match of the third season will be between Pretoria Capitals and Durban Super Giants. This match will be played on 10 January 2025.

On January 11, two matches will be played in the third season of SA20. First, Paarl Royals will face Sunrisers Eastern Cape. This will be the second match of Sunrisers Eastern Cape in this season of the league. The second match of the day will be between Johannesburg Super Kings and Mumbai Indians Cape Town. Mumbai Indians Cape Town will also play its second match through this.
