The second match of the Test series between Pakistan and West Indies is being played in Multan. In this match which started on Saturday 25th January, 38-year-old Noman Ali wreaked havoc on the West Indies batsmen with his deadly bowling. He created history by taking a hat-trick on the very first day of the match. He is the first Pakistani spinner to achieve this feat in Tests. West Indies won the toss and decided to bat first. But its batsmen had no answer to Noman's spinning balls. The result was that they lost 8 wickets at a score of 54 runs.

Noman showed the 'magic' of spin in Multan.

Noman Ali has emerged as a trump card for captain Shan Masood in recent times. That's why Shan handed him the ball in the 8th over on the first day of the Multan Test. After this, Noman showed the magic of his spin bowling and took a wicket in his second over itself. After this, he came to bowl in the 12th over of the innings and created history by taking 3 wickets one after the other. He completed his hat-trick by dismissing Justin Greaves, Tevin Imlach and Kevin Sinclair on the first three balls of the over. He is the first Pakistani spinner to do this feat in Tests.

Noman Ali is the fifth bowler to take a hat-trick in Tests for Pakistan. Before this, Wasim Akram, Abdul Razzaq, Mohammad Sami, and Naseem Shah have done this feat. However, all of them were not fast bowlers. Noman has been wreaking havoc since the England series. He has continued this trend in the current series as well. He had taken 5 wickets in the first Test as well. Now in the second match, he has taken 4 wickets for 19 runs in 8 overs and has broken the back of the West Indies batting line-up.

Surrender of the West Indies

Pakistan team has found a new formula for winning Tests in the form of spin. They used this formula against West Indies as well. West Indies batsmen surrendered in front of this Pakistani formula. Captain Shan Masood started the spin attack from the very first over on the turning track. He got off-spinner Sajid Khan to start the innings.

However, Kashif Ali gave the first breakthrough. But after this the spinners wreaked havoc. Sajid Khan took 2 wickets, Noman Ali took 3 and leg spinner Abrar Ahmed took 1 wicket. In this way Pakistan sent 8 West Indies batsmen to the pavilion at a score of 54. Till the time of writing the news, the West Indies team had scored 75 runs at the loss of 8 wickets.
