This century of Perera is the fastest century from the bat of any Sri Lankan batsman in T20 International. He wrote the script of his T20 International century in just 44 balls. Played at a strike rate of 219.56, Kusal Perera's century included 13 fours and 4 sixes. The special thing is that this is the first century of Kusal Perera's T20 International career.

Kusal Perera broke 14-year-old record

Kusal Perera has broken a 14-year-old Sri Lankan record with his fast, sharp, and explosive century. He has broken Tillakaratne Dilshan's record for scoring the fastest T20 International century. Dilshan scored a century in 55 balls against Australia in 2011.
