But later this cat appeared on the field twice more during the match. However, this is not the first time that this black cat of Karachi has disrupted the game. Earlier she was seen during the Tri Nation Series. This cat also entered the field in the tournament opener between New Zealand and Pakistan. Now this incident has happened for the third time. Due to this, this black cat has become a topic of discussion among the fans in the Champions Trophy.

Afghanistan lost a wicket

Many people consider a black cat to be a bad omen and its effect was also seen in the match. The cat was first seen on the boundary line during the 15th over. Soon after this, Afghanistan lost its fourth wicket. Earlier, during the match between Pakistan and New Zealand, when this cat came on the field, the Pakistani team lost a wicket. The same happened in the match against Afghanistan.

What did Pollock say about the cat?

Even after the match, the black cat remained a topic of discussion and cricket experts also talked about it. Former South African cricketer and commentator Shaun Pollock was asked about it. Then he said, 'Looking at the cat, it seemed as if Shoaib Akhtar got out on a swinging yorker.' He further said that many people believe that the black cat is bad for luck.

Pollock mentioned many incidents of animals entering cricket matches. He said that earlier he had seen a dog enter the field in SA20. Whereas in Sri Lanka a big snake had come out. Pollock said that once a fox had come on the field when he was playing in Birmingham.

South Africa beat Afghanistan

South Africa batted first while playing against Afghanistan in Karachi. It had set a target of 316 runs for the Afghan team. Afghanistan's team came out to chase it and got all out for 208 runs. In this way, South Africa won the match by 107 runs and started the Champions Trophy with a victory.
