Kane Williamson, the captain of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 runners-up team, will be missing from the three-match T20I series against India starting tonight in Jaipur.

According to reports, he has been ruled out of this T20 series to focus on the Test series to be played against India. Now in the T20 series against India, fast bowler Tim Southee will be seen captaining the New Zealand team.

A 14-man squad has been announced by New Zealand for the T20 series against India starting tomorrow in Jaipur. Along with Tim Southee, Trent Boult, Adam Milne, Lockie Ferguson, and Kyle Jamieson have also got a place in the team for this series.

The second T20 between India and New Zealand will be played in Ranchi on 19 November and the third match on 21 November in Kolkata. Whereas the Test series will start from November 25. This series to be played between the two countries will be part of the World Test Championship.
