The first match of the 3 ODI series between India and Sri Lanka was played in Colombo, which ended in a draw. In this match, an exciting competition was seen between the two teams. During the entire match, the game seemed to be going in favor of one team many times, but in the end no team could win. The Indian team came very close to victory in the last part of this match, the situation was such that Team India had to score only 1 run in 15 balls to win the match, but no Indian cricket fan had thought about what happened after this.

Just 1 mistake cost Team India heavily

Sri Lanka, who won the toss and batted first, scored 230 runs for 8 wickets in 50 overs. In response, Team India was all out for 230 runs in 47.5 overs. Due to which the match ended without any result. The 48th over of the Indian innings was the over due to which it could not win the match. India needed only 5 runs to win in the last 18 balls of the match and it had 2 wickets left. Shivam Dubey hit a four on the third ball of the 48th over and due to which Team India's victory was considered certain.

After this, Sri Lankan captain Charith Aslanka bowled magically and took 2 wickets in 2 consecutive balls and ended the match in a draw. Arshdeep Singh was out as the last wicket. Due to which he is being considered the biggest reason for the defeat. But the biggest mistake from India in this match was not Arshdeep Singh's shot but Shivam Dubey's wicket. Actually, Shivam Dubey was in a hurry on the fourth ball of the 48th over and lost his wicket. Shivam Dubey had spent time at the crease at that time and was playing after scoring 25 runs off 24 balls. In such a situation, he was the last proper batsman on the crease, but he lost his wicket at the last moment.

Captain Rohit looked unhappy

Captain Rohit said after the match that the target could have been chased. But for this you have to bat well. We batted well in patches but could not build a rhythm. We started well. We knew that the game would change when spin came. We lost some wickets and fell behind. I am disappointed at not being able to score a single run in 15 balls, but I will not say much.
