In IPL 2024, on Monday, five-time champions Mumbai Indians had to face defeat against Rajasthan Royals on their home ground. This is Mumbai Indians' third consecutive defeat in the tournament.

During the match, former captain Rohit Sharma also equalled an embarrassing record. He has now equalled the record of RCB's Dinesh Karthik in terms of being out on zero for the most number of times in the IPL. Rohit Sharma could not even open his account for the 17th time in IPL.

Dinesh Karthik has also been out on zero 17 times in IPL. Whereas Glenn Maxwell, Piyush Chawla, Mandeep Singh and Sunil Narine have not been able to open their account 15-15 times in IPL. Rohit Sharma was dismissed by Trent Boult in the match played on Monday. His catch was caught by Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson.
