Preparations have started for organizing the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. According to reports, IPL Governing Council Chairman Arun Singh Dhumal has made a big revelation regarding the schedule of the tournament. He informed that this time the IPL schedule will not be released all at once but in phases. This type of step will be taken in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The upcoming edition of IPL is likely to be held from March 21 or 22 to May 25 or 26. Dhumal has also given information regarding Women's Premier League (WPL). He told that the plan is to start WPL from mid-February to March 10 and IPL from March 21, 22 and end by May 25, 26.

The Indian Cricket Board wants to end the IPL a week before the T20 World Cup starting in America and West Indies in June.
