IPL 2021 KKR vs DC: Delhi Capitals' winning order broken, loose by three wickets

After this, batting in the first innings, Delhi scored 127 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs and gave Kolkata a target of 128 runs to win.

In reply, KKR scored 130 runs for 7 wickets in 18.2 overs and won the match by three wickets. After this victory, Kolkata has 10 points and is at number four in the points table, while even after this defeat, Delhi's team is at number two with 16 points.

Shubman Gill and Venkatesh Iyer opened the innings for Kolkata. Both shared a 28-run partnership for the first wicket. The first blow to Kolkata was given by Lalit Yadav by dismissing Venkatesh Iyer for 14 runs. Rahul Tripathi was dismissed for 9 by Avesh Khan. Shubman Gill was dismissed for 30 by Rabada. Eoin Morgan was dismissed for a duck by Ashwin. Dinesh Karthik was dismissed for 12 by Avesh Khan. Sunil Narine played an innings of 21 runs and became the victim of Nartje. Nitish Rana remained at the crease till the last moment and scored an unbeaten 36 runs to give victory to the team. 

Delhi innings, batsmen did not play

The first wicket of Delhi's team fell in the form of Dhawan. He was caught out at the hands of Venkatesh Iyer by Lucky Ferguson on the score of 24 runs. Shreyas Iyer, who played well in the last two matches, could only score one run in this match and was dismissed by Sunil Narine. Steve Smith opened with Dhawan in this match and was dismissed by Ferguson for 39 runs. Hetmyer could not show any miracle and be caught by Venkatesh Iyer for 4 runs to Tim Southee. Lalit Yadav could not even open his account and got out on the ball of Naren, while Axar Patel also got out on the ball of Venkatesh Iyer for zero. R Ashwin was dismissed for 9 off Tim Southee. Rishabh Pant was run out after scoring 39 runs. For Kolkata, Venkatesh Iyer, Sunil Narine, and Lucky Ferguson took two wickets each while Tim Southee took one wicket. 

Prithvi Shaw out, Steve Smith in, Andre Russell missed out

Delhi team made a change for this match against KKR. The opener batsman of this team, Prithvi Shaw was injured and Steve Smith was included in his place in the playing XI. At the same time, KKR made two changes. In this team, Sandeep Warrier and Tim Southee were given a chance in place of the famous Krishna and Andre Russell. Andre Russell was dropped from the team due to injury.
