Chennai Super Kings (CSK) entered the final of IPL 2021 after defeating Delhi Capitals (DC) by four wickets in the first qualifier on Sunday.

With two balls to spare for CSK to chase down a tough target of 173 runs, skipper MS Dhoni gave the team victory. The captain remained unbeaten on 18 off six balls.

Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 70 runs in 50 balls, while Robin Uthappa contributed 63 runs in 44 balls. Ruturaj crossed the 600-run mark in this edition of the IPL.

For DC, Tom Curran took three wickets while Enrique Nortje and Avesh Khan took one wicket each.

Earlier, Prithvi Shaw scored 60 off 34 balls while skipper Rishabh Pant and Shimron Hetmyer contributed unbeaten 51 and 37 respectively as DC posted 172 for 5 while batting.

Josh Hazlewood was the pick of CSK bowlers with figures of 2/29, while Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo, and Moeen Ali took a wicket each.
