Playing first, Delhi Capitals managed to score 172 runs in 20 overs at the loss of 5 wickets on the captaincy innings of Rishabh Pant (51 not out). In this innings, Pant faced 35 balls and hit 2 sixes and 3 fours. 

Pant, who became the youngest captain for any team in the IPL playoffs, also registered a record in his name through half-century innings.

Through this innings, he became the first captain to score the youngest half-century in an IPL playoff match. Rishabh Pant scored a fifty in an IPL playoff match at the age of 24 years and 6 days.
