IPL-14: CSK reached the final of IPL for the ninth time, defeated Delhi Capitals in the first qualifier
Rituraj Gaikwad (70 runs) and experienced batsman Robin Uthappa (63 runs) helped three-time champions Chennai Super Kings beat Delhi Capitals by 4 wickets in the first qualifier match to enter the final of IPL-14.
CSK, captained by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, has also entered the IPL final for a record ninth time. This is CSK's 12th season in the IPL. In the first qualifier match played on Sunday, Delhi Capitals scored 172 runs in the allotted 20 overs for the loss of 5 wickets.
Prithvi Shaw and captain Rishabh Pant played half-centuries for him. In reply, Chennai won by scoring 173 for 6 in 19.4 overs. Apart from brilliant innings from Rituraj Gaikwad and veteran batsman Robin Uthappa, Moeen Ali scored 16 runs and Dhoni scored 18 not out for CSK.
