The New Zealand Cricket Board (NZC) has announced the central contract for the 2024-25 season. This time New Zealand Cricket has decided to give contracts to 20 players. Big players like Kane Williamson, Loki Ferguson and Adam Milne are not part of this central contract. At the same time, some young players have been included in this list for the first time, which also includes a player of Indian origin.

Indian-origin player Rachin Ravindra has got his first central contract. The last one year has been great for left-handed batsman Rachin Ravindra, he performed brilliantly in all three formats. Ravindra was the star of the 2023 ODI World Cup, scoring 578 runs and then scored his first Test century against South Africa in Mount Maunganui, which he also converted into a double century. He became the youngest New Zealand player to win the Sir Richard Hadlee Medal in March.
