India Bowling Coach: BCCI is looking for new support staff for Team India. Now the news has come that Zaheer Khan is BCCI's first choice for the bowling coach.

India Bowling Coach: Former Indian legend Gautam Gambhir has been appointed by BCCI as the new head coach of the Indian cricket team. Rahul Dravid's tenure has ended. Now Gambhir will take over as the new coach from the Sri Lanka series starting on July 26. Along with the head coach, the tenure of the support staff has also ended. In such a situation, BCCI is also looking for Gambhir's team. Earlier it was reported that Gambhir wants to appoint former fast bowler Vinay Kumar as the bowling coach. However, the board denied it. Now the news has come that BCCI wants to appoint former legendary fast bowler Zaheer Khan as the bowling coach. 

According to the report, BCCI believes that it would be beneficial if the bowling coach is more experienced. This is why the board is not keen on bringing Vinay Kumar as bowling coach. BCCI believes that it would be right to bring a World Cup winner like Zaheer Khan. 

After the selection of Gautam Gambhir as the new head coach, it was believed that Gambhir would be given a free hand in choosing his support staff. But now it does not seem so. According to the report, Abhishek Nair will be the new assistant coach of Team India. However, BCCI has not confirmed it yet. 

Let us tell you that along with Rahul Dravid, his fellow support staff has also said goodbye to Team India. If reports are to be believed, former South African veteran fielding coach T Dilip can take up his post again. However, it has not been finalized yet. However, the brainstorming is going on to choose the bowling coach. Apart from Vinay Kumar, another name for the role of bowling coach is Lakshmipathy Balaji.
