On the back of brilliant innings from veteran batsman Cheteshwar Pujara (91 not out), opener Rohit Sharma (59), and Virat Kohli (45 not out), India have found their way back on the third day of the third Test against England.
After being bundled out for only 78 runs in the first innings, the Indian team scored 215 for two in the second innings on the third day. The Indian team is now only 139 runs behind the visiting team. Earlier, England had scored 423 runs in the first innings to take a 354-run lead over India.
All eyes will be on Pujara and Virat Kohli on the fourth day of the match. It remains to be seen whether both these batsmen can score a century in Test cricket after a long time or not. Pujara hit 15 fours in his innings on Friday while skipper Virat Kohli hit 6 fours. Significantly, India is currently leading 1-0 in the five-match Test series.
