India bowled out England for 432 in the first innings on the third day of the Leeds Test. Thus the hosts took a strong lead of 354 runs based on first innings in the third test match. India could score only 78 runs in the first innings.



For India, Mohammed Shami took four, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj and Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets each. Captain Joe Root (121) played a brilliant century in the first innings for England. David Malan scored 70, Haseeb Hameed 68 and Rory Burns scored 61 runs.

England's team could only increase their score by nine runs on the third day. On the second day, the hosts scored 423 runs for 8 wickets. Significantly, in the five-match Test series, Team India is currently leading 1-0.
