IND VS AUS: Rain saves Australia, Gabba Test drawn
The Gaba Test between India and Australia has been drawn. Due to rain on the fifth day, not much play could be done and the match ended in a draw. Australia had given India a target of 275 runs, in response, Team India scored 8 runs without losing a wicket. Then there was heavy rain in Brisbane and due to bad weather, the match was drawn. At present, the Test series is tied at 1-1 and now the next match will be played in Melbourne from December 26.
Australia saved from rain?
There is no doubt that the Australian team dominated the entire match but on the fourth and the last day, Team India played brilliantly. Australia had given Team India a target of only 275 runs which Team India could have achieved. Team India had made a record of chasing a score of 328 runs against Australia on the same ground on the last tour. In such a situation, it was difficult to chase this score this time too.
Head and Bumrah dominated the match.
Jasprit Bumrah performed brilliantly for the Indian team in the Gaba Test, he took 6 wickets in the first innings and 3 wickets in the second innings. He took 9 wickets in the match. On the other hand, Travis Head played an innings of 152 runs in the first innings for Australia, for which he was chosen as the Player of the Match. Apart from Head, Steve Smith played an innings of 101 runs in the first innings.
