If there is no payment, we will not even play… Players revolted, this Bangladesh Premier League team ignored the rules

The issue of the match fees of the players of the Bangladesh Premier League team Darbar Rajshahi is not getting resolved. In the last few days, the second case of players refusing to play due to non-payment of dues has come to light. Earlier, the local players of the team had threatened not to play the match. And, now its foreign players have refused to take the field. However, it does not seem that this made any difference to the team franchise. Because, without caring about its foreign players, it decided to take the field without them, which is a violation of an important rule of the Bangladesh Premier League.
The royal court kept the rules aside
According to the rules of Bangladesh Premier League, every franchise has to include at least 2 foreign players in its playing eleven in the current season. But, Darbar Rajshahi did not do so in the match played against Rangpur Riders on 26 January. Its captain Taskin Ahmed said that there are 4 changes in his team and that is because foreign players are not playing.
First incident of no foreign player in playing XI
However, the surprising thing was that the Bangladesh Cricket Board's technical committee allowed Darbar Rajshahi to play without including any foreign player in the playing XI. BCB said that Darbar Rajshahi had sought permission for this by making a special request. This is the first time in the history of Bangladesh Premier League that a team made a playing XI without any foreign player.
Ignoring the rules in the matter of payment
According to ESPNcricinfo, only one-fourth of the payment has been made to the foreign players of Darbar Rajshahi. Whereas according to the rules of BCB, they are supposed to be paid 75 percent during the tournament. The franchise did not pay anything to its local players either, until they protested.
