ICC ODI World Cup: Virat Kohli broke this record of Sachin in Mumbai

Former Indian captain Virat Kohli has broken a record of former great batsman Sachin Tendulkar in the match being played against Sri Lanka in Mumbai today in the ICC ODI World Cup.

Virat Kohli is currently present at the crease after scoring 65 runs in the match. During this inning, Virat Kohli completed his 1000 runs in ODI wickets this year. He has broken Sachin's record by achieving this feat for the eighth time in ODIs. Sachin had scored one thousand runs in ODI seven times in a year. Virat Kohli has had a great performance in ODIs this year.

He is the Indian batsman who has scored the most runs in this World Cup. He has scored four centuries this year. Today he now has a chance to equal Sachin's (49) record of scoring most centuries in ODIs. Shubman Gill has also scored a half-century in the match being played against Sri Lanka. He is present at the crease after scoring 59 runs.
