ICC ODI World Cup: Rachin broke Sachin's record, left Jonny Bairstow behind in this matter
New Zealand's young cricketer Rachin Ravindra has registered two big records in his name in the ODI World Cup 2023. He broke the records of former great Indian batsmen Sachin Tendulkar and Jonny Bairstow by playing an innings of 42 runs against Sri Lanka on Thursday.
He broke Sachin Tendulkar's record of most runs in his debut World Cup season under the age of 25. Sachin Tendulkar scored 523 runs during the 1996 World Cup. Rachin Ravindra now has 565 runs in this World Cup.
Along with this, 23 year old Rachin Ravindra has also broken the record of England's Jonny Bairstow for scoring most runs in the debut ODI World Cup. Bairstow had registered 532 runs in his name during the World Cup 2019. Whereas Pakistan captain Babar Azam had scored 474 runs in the last World Cup.
