ICC ODI World Cup: India achieved this big achievement in the World Cup after twenty years

After the century inning of Virat Kohli (101 not out), on the basis of killer bowling by the bowlers, India defeated South Africa by 243 runs in the 37th match of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 on Sunday.

This is Team India's eighth consecutive win in the tournament. Team India has registered its eighth consecutive win in the ODI Cup after 20 years. Earlier, the Indian team had won 8 consecutive matches in the 2003 World Cup. 

The record for most consecutive wins in the World Cup is held by the Australian team, which had won 11 consecutive matches in the years 2003 and 2007. By registering this victory, the Indian team equaled New Zealand, which had won eight consecutive matches in the 2015 World Cup. In the match, India, playing first, scored 326 runs for 5 wickets in 50 overs. In reply, South Africa was all out for only 83 runs in 27.1 overs.
