ICC ODI World Cup: After Ponting and Dhoni, Kane Williamson can achieve this big achievement

The New Zealand team, captained by Kane Williamson, has almost confirmed its place in the semi-finals of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. If Pakistan does not perform any miracle then the Kiwi team is certain to play the semi-finals. 

Now if the Kiwi team plays the semi-finals, Kane Williamson will have a chance to be a part of a special club along with Ricky Ponting and Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Both of them hold the record for playing the most number of matches as captains in the knockout matches of ICC tournaments. Both have led their teams in six matches each, including both the semi-finals and finals. 

Kane Williamson can also become a part of this club. If the Kiwi team is successful in making it to the semi-finals, then they will face Team India in the last four. This could be an exciting match between the two teams.
