According to Kapil Dev, the next generation should always be better than the previous one. If this does not happen then it is difficult to move forward. He said that 'The next generation should be better than us. If this does not happen then the world will not move forward. We never thought that anyone would be able to come close to Sachin Tendulkar or Sunil Gavaskar. But today we have players like Rahul Dravid, Virender Sehwag, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Today's players are far ahead and their strike rate is better. Their way of playing is unique, which you appreciate. But now Ashwin has gone. Ashwin surprised everyone by suddenly announcing his retirement on the last day of the Brisbane Test on Wednesday, 18 December. No one could believe his announcement. During the press conference, he told that he will leave directly for India. After this, Ashwin did the same. He flew to Chennai and landed at Chennai airport today i.e. Thursday, 19 December. Ashwin's wife and daughters came to receive him at the airport. After reaching home, he was welcomed with garlands and band music.
