The world's number 1 Test bowler Jasprit Bumrah is making one record after another on the Australian tour. After taking four wickets in the first innings of the Melbourne Test, he opened his claws in the second innings. Bumrah again turned the pages of the cricket book by taking five wickets of Australia. Along with completing his 200 Test wickets in the second innings, he has also broken a special record of former legendary Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar. Bumrah has now become the bowler who has taken five wickets more times than Akhtar in Tests.

Bumrah beats Akhtar

As soon as Bumrah bowled Nathan Lyon in Australia's second innings, he made another record in his name. With Lyon's dismissal, Australia's innings ended at 234 runs. Bumrah got his fifth wicket. Bumrah has now achieved the feat of taking five wickets for the 13th time in Tests. Whereas Pakistani legend Shoaib Akhtar had done this feat 12 times in Tests.

Bumrah took 203 wickets in 44 Tests.

Jasprit Bumrah has also completed his 200 Test wickets in the Melbourne Test. When he dismissed Travis Head in the second innings, it was his 200th Test wicket. After this, he also took the wickets of Mitchell Marsh, Alex Carey, and Nathan Lyon. With this, his number of Test wickets reached 203. He did this feat in his 44th Test. Let us tell you that Bumrah started his Test career in the year 2018. His bowling average in Tests is less than 20 and his economy is 2.75.

Bumrah took 30 wickets in BGT 2024
