Who is the heaviest cricketer in the world? The answer is- Rahkeem Cornwall. With his first step on the world cricket scene in 2019, Rahkeem became the world's heaviest Test cricketer. Then he broke the record of former Australian captain Warwick Armstrong, who weighed 139 kg and played 99 years before his Test debut i.e. in 1920. However, West Indies all-rounder Rahkeem Cornwall is currently in the news not because of this but because of his bowling in the T20 match. He has wreaked such havoc with the ball on the pitch of CPL 2024, which has been seen for the first time in his career.

Dealt with half the team alone

In CPL 2024, the teams of St Kitts and Nevis Patriots and Barbados Royals faced each other on 17 September. In this match, Rahkeem was from the table-topper team Barbados Royals. He performed exactly as the team dominated the league. He wreaked havoc with the ball against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, who came to bat first in the match. He bowled in such a way that he dealt with half the team alone. And, thus also gave the best performance of his T20 career.

Took 5 wickets for 16 runs, did this for the first time in the T20

Rahkeem Cornwall took wickets on 2 consecutive balls against St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots. He took wickets in all the overs he bowled. Meaning, none of his overs went wicketless. In this way, he took 5 wickets for 16 runs in 4 overs at an economy of 4. This was the first time in T20 cricket that Rahkeem Cornwall was seen taking 5 wickets. Before this, his best performance with the ball in T20 was taking 3 wickets for 10 runs.

This was Rahkeem Cornwall's 5th match in CPL 2024. But this was only the third inning in which he was seen bowling. Cornwall, who remained wicketless in the first two innings, took 5 wickets in the third innings, with which his total number of wickets in CPL career has now become 35.

After Rakheem's havoc, the team could not even play 20 overs.

Now let's find out what was the effect of the havoc created by the ball against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. The result was that the entire team of St Kitts could not play even 20 overs. They were all out after scoring just 110 runs in 19.1 overs and thus Barbados Royals got an easy target of 111 runs.
