India is celebrating Sports Day today i.e. on Sunday 29th August and a daughter of India, thousands of miles away from the country, has created history. Yes, India's female table tennis player Bhavina Patel has won the silver medal at the Tokyo Paralympics 2020. This is India's first medal at the Tokyo Paralympics. For this reason, the President of the country Ram Nath Kovind, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have congratulated Bhavina.

After the match, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Bhavina Patel via phone and congratulated her for winning the silver medal in the Paralympic Games. PM Modi appreciated his efforts and told him that he has written history. He also extended best wishes to Bhavina Patel for her future endeavors.

Bhavina Patel lost 3-0 to Zhou Ying of China in the women's singles category 4 final. However, Bhavina Patel became the first player to win a medal for the country in a table tennis competition. In this way, Bhavina Patel created history for the country. The special thing is that he has done this wonder on the occasion of National Sports Day.
