BCCI is constantly taking strict steps to improve the performance of the team. First, it held a review meeting with the team's head coach Gautam Gambhir, chief selector Ajit Agarkar, and captain Rohit Sharma. Then it issued 10 guidelines to increase unity and discipline in the team. The board has asked to follow them strictly. One of these rules is about the players' families. BCCI has taken a tough stand and set a limit on the players' traveling with their families on foreign tours. Let's find out who travels the most with their families in the Indian team and who will suffer the most from this rule.

These players travel with their families.

Indian team players have been going on foreign tours with their families in the past as well. But earlier this used to happen very rarely. It is believed that after Virat Kohli became the captain, this trend increased a lot in the team. He supports traveling with his children and wife. That is why he has been going on almost every foreign tour with his wife Anushka Sharma.

After Virat, the current captain of the team Rohit Sharma has also been supporting this thing. He also often likes to travel with his family. Rohit has said in many of his interviews that when his wife and daughter stay with him, he feels very relaxed during big series. His wife Ritika Sajdeh has been seen supporting him in the stands during many series. But now both the players will get less or no support from their families on their foreign tours.

Jasprit Bumrah also travels with his family many times. However, his wife works as a presenter in ICC events and for this she is seen with Bumrah during big tournaments. That means it is not going to affect them. KL Rahul's wife Athiya Shetty also travels with him. She too may suffer due to BCCI's rule.

Apart from the senior players, the young player of the team Shubman Gill has been taking his family along the most. His sister or parents or all three stay together on foreign tours. Shubman's sister Shahneel accompanied him on the Zimbabwe tour. Arshdeep Singh's parents have also traveled with him many times. They were with him during the T20 World Cup.

What are the rules regarding family?

According to the rules of BCCI, if the Indian team goes on a foreign tour for 45 days or more, then the wife, partner or family of any player cannot stay with him for more than 14 days on that tour. If the family of any player stays with him for more than that time, then the board will not bear his expenses. Not only this, permission for these 14 days is given only once and during this time the board will bear only their living expenses.
