Defeating Bangladesh in a Test match at its home is not an easy task at all, but the South African team seems to be doing that task with ease. On the second day of the first Test being played in Dhaka, South Africa scored 308 runs in the first innings and with this, it took a huge lead of 202 runs over Bangladesh. Wicketkeeper Kyle Verreynne played a big role in taking South Africa to this strong position, who came in at number 7 and scored a century in the Dhaka Test. This century of Kyle Verreynne is special because he is only the third South African wicketkeeper to score a Test century in Asia.

Kyle Verreyne makes history.

Kyle Verreynne has created history by scoring a century in Mirpur. He is the first South African wicketkeeper to score a Test century on Bangladesh soil. Before him, only AB de Villiers and Quinton de Kock have scored centuries in Asia. De Villiers scored a Test century in Dubai and de Kock in Visakhapatnam. These two legends were also not able to score a Test century in Bangladesh.

You will be surprised to know that South Africa had once lost 6 wickets for just 108 runs but after that Kyle Verreynne batted brilliantly. He shared a century partnership with Wiaan Mulder. Mulder contributed 54 runs. After this Dane Piedt also came at number 10 and played an innings of 32 runs. During this, Kyle Verreynne scored the second Test century of his career. This century innings of Kyle Verreynne is very special because it was not easy for the batsmen to survive on the pitch on which he scored this century. The entire Bangladesh team was all out for just 106 runs in the first innings. Forget about a half-century, not a single batsman of theirs could cross 30 runs.
