Babar Azam brought cancer back to the team… Sensational revelation on the stubborn behavior of the Pakistani star

The Pakistan cricket team has been going through a very bad phase for the last several months. The team's performance in tournaments like the World Cup has been shameful. Cricket Pakistan website quoted Wasim as saying that working with Babar Azam as captain was a problem for him because Babar Azam was very stubborn and convincing him about changes in the team was no less than a headache. Wasim alleged that Babar was not ready to accept change. He said that many times he had to cross his limits to make Babar agree on some decisions.

Wasim also made a revelation, which can give an idea about the poor performance of the Pakistani team in the last 2-3 years. The former chief selector told how there was a group of some players who were proving to be harmful for the team. Wasim revealed that 4 coaches of the team had told him about such a group which was like cancer for the team. These coaches believed that Pakistan could never win anything as long as this group was there. Wasim did not name those players but said that he had removed this group from the team but Babar Azam again included them in the team.

Obviously, the Pakistani team could not win any title under Babar's captaincy. The team was defeated in the final of one T20 World Cup and in the semi-finals of one T20 World Cup. They also lost in the final of the Asia Cup. Then after being eliminated in the league stage of the 2023 ODI World Cup, Babar had to give up the captaincy of all three formats. However, this year Babar returned as the T20 captain but in the T20 World Cup 2024, he suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of America.
