Adelaide scored 165 runs

The Melbourne Stars team won the toss and decided to bowl first. Adelaide Strikers, who came to bat first, did not have a good start. They lost their first wicket in the third over itself. After this, Darcy Short came to bat at number 3 and started scoring runs rapidly. However, his team kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Apart from Short's 60-run innings, Alex Ross scored 35 runs in 26 balls and James Beazley scored 16 runs. Apart from these three, no other batsman could perform, as a result of which Adelaide's team could score only 165 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs in the first innings.
