Asian Games: Sift Kaur Samra won gold with world record, shooters showed dominance

India has had a good start on the fourth day of the Asian Games 2023. Shooters won two gold medals for India today. India's Sift Kaur Samra dominated the women's 50m rifle 3 positions individual event to clinch the gold medal with a world record score.

The trio of Manu Bhaker, Isha Singh and Rhythm Sangwan also won another gold medal for India in shooting. She got this success in the 25 meter pistol women's team event. India's Sift scored 469.6 points in the final, improving Britain's Sioned McIntosh's world record of 467.0 points by 2.6 points.

India's Sift had also created a joint Asian record in the qualifying round. Aashi also succeeded in getting bronze medal with 451.9 points. Sifat Kaur Samra, Aashi Chouksey and Manini Kaushik won silver medals in the women's 50 meter rifle 3 positions team event.
