In its first match of the Asian Games 2023, India scored 202 runs against Nepal at the loss of four wickets in the stipulated twenty overs on the basis of a stormy century innings by Yashasvi Jaiswal. In the quarter-final match, left-handed opener Yashasvi Jaiswal completed his century (100) in 48 balls.

In this innings he hit 8 fours and 7 sixes. During his first T20 International century, he was out on the score of 100 runs. He has already scored a half-century in T20 International. In the match being played against Nepal, Rinku Singh also played a stormy inning of 37 runs in 15 balls.

In this innings he hit four sixes and two fours. Ruturat Gaikwad and Shivam Dubey also contributed 25 runs each. Young batsman Tilak Verma could not show his impact in this match. He could score only two runs.
