On the basis of brilliant innings of Kusal Mendis (91) and Asalanka (49), Sri Lanka entered the final by defeating Pakistan by two wickets in the Super Four match of the Asia Cup.

Sri Lanka had a target of 252 runs in 42 overs to win the rain-affected match, which they achieved by losing eight wickets. Sri Lanka has entered the final of the Asia Cup for the 11th time. Now for the ninth time, India will face Pakistan in the final of Asia Cup.

Asalanka played an important role in the victory by scoring 49 runs in 47 balls. Sri Lanka needed 6 runs from the last two balls. Aslanka returned as the hero of the match after scoring these runs. Only for the second time in the Asia Cup the result has come on the last ball. Earlier in the 2018 Asia Cup final, India had defeated Bangladesh on the last ball. Sri Lanka will face India in the final on Sunday.
