Asia Cup: Shubman Gill broke Shreyas Iyer's record, achieved this big achievement

After the brilliant performance of the bowlers, on the basis of half-century innings of captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, India defeated Nepal team by 10 wickets one-sidedly in its second group match of Asia Cup 2023.

With this the Indian team was successful in qualifying for Super-4. Gill completed 1500 in ODI career with his unbeaten inning of 67 runs. He has now been successful in achieving this feat, the fastest for India in ODIs. He has touched the figure of 1500 runs in only 29 innings.

Earlier this record was in the name of Shreyas Iyer, who had scored his 1500 runs in 34 ODI innings. Shubhman Gill has scored 1514 runs in 29 matches at an average of 63.08. During this period he has scored 4 centuries and 7 half-centuries. Gill has so far scored 827 runs in the year 2023 at an average of 68.92.
