After Virat, Jaiswal, and Gill fail, action will be taken against Team India's batting coach, but who is he?
While Australia scored 445 runs in the first innings of the Gaba Test, Team India lost 4 wickets for just 48 runs on the same flat pitch. Once again the top order collapsed like a pack of cards and former cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar is now talking about punishing the batting coach for this mistake. As soon as Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, and Rishabh Pant were out in Gaba, former cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar tweeted. He wrote that now the time has come to investigate the role of Team India's batting coach.
Sanjay Manjrekar tweeted, 'I think the time has come to investigate the role of the batting coach of the Indian cricket team. Why has this kind of technical flaw not been corrected by some Indian batsmen till now?' It is clear that Manjrekar is unhappy with the shot selection of the Indian team's batsmen but the question is what is the batting coach's fault in this? One of the players who is making mistakes on the pitch is Virat Kohli, who has been playing international cricket for a long time and has 81 international centuries to his name. On the other hand, there are Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal who have come to Australia after performing brilliantly in the last Test series.
I guess the time has come to scrutinise the role of a batting coach in the Indian team. Why major technical issues have remained unresolved for so long with certain Indian batters. @BCCI

Sanjay Manjrekar has demanded an investigation into the role of the batting coach, but the biggest question is who is the batting coach? Team India currently has 5 coaches. Apart from head coach Gautam Gambhir, the bowling coach is Morne Morkel. The fielding coach is T Dilip. Abhishek Nair and Ryan Ten Descathe are associated with the team as assistant coaches. Now the question is who among these is the batting coach? By the way, when Team India practices on the nets, Gautam Gambhir is seen explaining technical things to the batsmen. So will Gautam Gambhir's role now have to be investigated?
