The Champions Trophy 2025 is starting from February 19. Just before this, former Pakistani legend Shahid Afridi gave a special 'gurumantra' to his players to defeat all teams including India. Afridi advised Pakistan to do the best of the best in all three fields of the game. Especially, he has asked Pakistan to improve its fielding. Along with this, Afridi has also expressed displeasure over India not touring Pakistan.

What did Afridi say on India not coming to Pakistan?

During a program Afridi said, 'India did not come, what should I say to them, if they did not come they should have come. They should have come, when all the teams of the world are coming then why is India not coming. Now this has happened. Wherever India is playing, it is Pakistan's job to perform well against them and victory is such a thing due to which we have four-five provinces, they come under the flag of Pakistan and we feel happy. I think there will be a lot of responsibility on the Pakistan team and on every player.'

Afridi further said, 'As far as the Champions Trophy is concerned, I think all the teams have come with a lot of preparation. So the Pakistan team will have to perform well in all three areas, batting, bowling and especially fielding. Only then will you win the match. Of course, there is India, Bangladesh, New Zealand, all are strong teams. My wish is that Pakistan plays the final in the Champions Trophy, but for that it will have to perform in all three things.'

Afridi is also unhappy with the team combination

Afridi is also unhappy with Pakistan's Champions Trophy squad. He expressed his displeasure over the presence of one or two players in the team without naming anyone. The former player said, 'This is a team of 11 and 15 boys. I can definitely talk about one or two boys as to why and where they have come from. But I will not take their names. Because the Champions Trophy is about to start, it is our and the media's job to support them. There will be a lot of time to talk later.'
