Afghanistan Cricket Board proved to be smarter than PCB, with this decision will leave Pakistan behind

However, Afghanistan has proved to be wise in this matter. To bring stability to the board, it has again appointed Mirwaiz Ashraf as the chairman of the Afghanistan Cricket Board.

Why did you make this decision?

Mirwaiz Ashraf was made the chairman of ACB in 2021. His term was to end in August 2024. Meanwhile, he has been re-elected as chairman for 3 years. According to a Cricbuzz report, an ACB official, on the request of anonymity, revealed that given Ashraf's excellent work in the last 3 years, the Taliban government of Afghanistan has again entrusted this responsibility for 3 years. He believes that the Afghanistan cricket team has been success due to stability. Therefore, he wants to continue this policy. According to the report, Afghanistan Prime Minister Mullah Muhammad Hassan has taken this decision.

Afghanistan will leave Pakistan behind

In the last three years, ACB has had one chairman, one CEO, and one coach handling all the responsibilities. The captaincy of the team also changed only once. This benefited the team a lot. Afghanistan defeated many big teams. In the 2023 ODI World Cup, they defeated England and Pakistan. The Australian team narrowly escaped defeat. In the T20 World Cup, they reached the semi-finals.

On the other hand, in the last 3 years, 3 chairmen of PCB have changed. At the same time, there were fights over the captaincy of the team, which caused a loss to the Pakistan team. The performance in the 2023 Asia Cup and ODI World Cup was very poor. At the same time, in the 2024 T20 World Cup, the team was eliminated from the group stage itself.
