Who is more talented between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma? Pakistan opener replied!

Former Indian captain Virat Kohli's inconsistent performance with the bat has been a cause of concern for the Indian cricket team. Rohit Sharma had struggled for runs throughout IPL 2022, however, his recent half-century against England in the first ODI at The Oval has allayed those fears.

For Kohli, though it seems to be getting worse with each passing day as he could only manage 12 runs in the two T20Is against England, and was later ruled out of the first ODI. Meanwhile, Pakistan opener Imam-ul-Haq has drawn a huge comparison between Kohli and Rohit.

Imam believes that Rohit Sharma is more talented than Virat Kohli, even though Virat has more runs in white ball cricket than the former and has a better average as well.

Being two of the most talented batsmen of the current era, their pairings are compared on many occasions, and Pakistani opener Imam-ul-Haq has given his verdict as to who has more talent.

Imam said on Sama News, "I think the talent that Rohit Sharma has, is not in Virat Kohli. I have seen both of them play, but the way Rohit plays, it looks like he is batting in replays. They have been there. They have a lot of time."

He further said, "For the first time I got to know the true meaning of timing because I field most of the points. Virat Kohli has batted in front of me, and Rohit Sharma has also done it, but God has given Rohit a lot of time. He is a player who can change the game in seconds. When he is set, he can hit at will."

Both Kohli and Rohit have scored big scores but the current Indian skipper played a swashbuckling knock of 76 against England to help the Men in the Blue win by 10 wickets.

Kohli, meanwhile, missed the match due to injury and is not scheduled to play in the second ODI as well. The 33-year-old has also been rested from the Indian team for the five-match T20I series against West Indies starting July 29.
