Vijay Hazare Trophy: Mumbai achieved a mammoth target of 338 runs by Sarfaraz Khan's stormy innings


Sarfaraz Khan (117), skipper Ajinkya Rahane (88), and Prithvi Shaw (51) rode on brilliant innings to help Mumbai chase down a mammoth target of 338 against Railways in their elite, Group E match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy here today.

Railways posted a mammoth score of 337 for the loss of five wickets in the stipulated overs on the back of Pratham Singh (109) and Mohammad Saif (92).

In response, Mumbai, captained by Ajinkya Rahane, achieved the target by losing five wickets in 48.3 overs. In this way, Mumbai won the match by five wickets with nine balls remaining.

Sarfaraz Khan (117) hit ten fours and five sixes in his century innings facing only 94 balls.


Ajinkya Rahane faced 82 balls in his innings and hit nine fours and three sixes. Prithvi Shaw scored 51 off 47 balls.
