Rohit Sharma gave an update on his injury after the match

India beat West Indies by 7 wickets in the third match of the five-match T20I series to take a 2-1 lead in the series. Batting first, West Indies had set a target of 165 runs in front of India, which was achieved by the Indian team with 1 over remaining due to the strong innings of Suryakumar.

The Indian team has suffered a major setback. The regular captain of the team, Rohit Sharma, suffered a strain in his back muscle and in the third match he retired hurt. He scored 11 runs in 5 balls.

Rohit said after the match, "It's okay at this time. We have a few days till the next match, hopefully, it (his injury) will be fine. How we bowled in the middle overs was important. I thought we made good use of the conditions. Variety is well used.

The way we chased the target was fantastic. When you look from the outside, there didn't seem to be much risk taken. Surya batted brilliantly and shared a good partnership with Iyer. The pitch had something for the bowlers, not an easy target. It was important to pick the right shot, the right ball on a ground like this.
