Sri Lanka defeated England Legends by 7 wickets in the fifth match of the Road Safety World Series on the back of lethal bowling by former great all-rounder Sanath Jayasuriya (4 for three).

In the fifth match of this series being played in the T20 format, the England Legends team, which came out to play first, was bundled out for only 78 runs in 19 overs. Captain Ian Bell scored 15 runs off 24 balls for England Legends. For Sri Lanka Legends, 53-year-old Sanath Jayasuriya took 4 wickets for England Legends giving only 3 runs in 4 overs.

During this, he also bowled 2 over maidens. While Isharu Udana and Jeevan Mendis got 1-1 wickets. Sri Lanka Legends chased down the target in 14.3 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Dilshan Munaweera contributed 24 runs off 43 balls and Upul Tharanga contributed 23 runs off 19 balls.
