Vidarbha's team has made a big record in Indian first-class cricket. This team registered the record of defending the lowest score in a league match of Elite Group D of Ranji Trophy 2022-23. Vidarbha's team achieved this feat against Gujarat.
The Vidarbha team set Gujarat a modest target of 73 runs to win. In response, the Gujarat team got all out for only 54 runs. In this way, Vidarbha won this match by 17 runs.
Earlier in Indian first-class cricket, Bihar had successfully defended a target of 78 against Delhi at Jamshedpur in 1948–49. Aditya Sarwate took six wickets for 17 runs in the second innings for Vidarbha. He also took five wickets in the first innings.
