IPL 2022: Point table looks like this after MI vs KKR match, see Purple-Orange cap holder


Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) by 52 runs in the 56th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai on Monday. Chasing a target of 166, Mumbai was bowled out for 113 in 17.3 overs, with Pat Cummins taking three wickets for KKR. Earlier, Venkatesh Iyer scored 43 runs in 24 balls to help KKR post 165 for nine in 20 overs. Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah was in fiery form for MI and picked up his maiden IPL five-wicket haul.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are at the top of the table with 16 points from 11 matches. He is followed by Gujarat Titans (GT) with 16 points from 11 matches. Rajasthan Royals (RR) are in the third position and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are in the fourth position respectively.

Delhi Capitals (DC) are ranked fifth, followed by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), KKR, and Punjab Kings (PBKS) at sixth, seventh and eighth positions respectively. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are ninth and Mumbai Indians (MI) are at the bottom of the table.

Orange cap race

Jos Buttler is in pole position with 618 runs in 11 matches in Orange Cap Race. They are followed by KL Rahul (451) and Faf du Plessis (389) at the second and third positions respectively.

Shikhar Dhawan (381) is fourth and David Warner (375) is fifth.

Purple cap race

Yuzvendra Chahal leads the Purple Cap race with 22 wickets in 11 matches, followed by Vanindu Hasaranga (21) at the second spot. Kagiso Rabada (18) is third in the standings, followed by Kuldeep Yadav (18), who is fourth in the Purple Cap race. T Natarajan is in the fifth position with 17 wickets.
