IND vs NZ: Suryakumar Yadav broke Virat Kohli's record, and equaled this world record

In reply, the hosts were bundled out for only 126 runs. Suryakumar Yadav scored an unbeaten 111 off 51 balls with the help of 7 sixes and 11 fours. This won him the title of Player of the Match.
With this, Suryakumar Yadav broke a record of T20 cricket of former Indian captain Virat Kohli. Suryakumar Yadav has now become the Indian cricketer to win the most Player of the Match awards in a calendar year.
In this case, he broke Kohli's record. Suryakumar won this title for the seventh time in T20 cricket this year. Earlier, Virat Kohli had won the Player of the Match title 6 times in a calendar year. Sikandar Raza of Zimbabwe has also won this title seven times in a year.
