Shubman Gill (112) and captain Rohit Sharma (101) have registered a big record in their names in the third ODI being played against New Zealand at the Holkar Stadium in Indore today.

By sharing 212 runs for the first wicket in this match, he has registered the record of the biggest partnership for this wicket against New Zealand. 

Earlier this record was recorded in the name of Virender Sehwag-Gautam Gambhir. Both these openers shared a 201-run partnership for the first wicket in Hamilton in 2009.

While Sri Lankan openers Sanath Jayasuriya-Upal Tharanga also shared a 201-run partnership in Napier in 2006. Shubman Gill (112) faced only 78 balls in his century while skipper Rohit Sharma (101) faced only 85 balls during his innings.
